Goodwill Holiday Cheer: Part 1

We got to enjoy the 70 degree weather outside and rolled up 

our sleeves to bringing in some holiday "cheer" for our Goodwill event. 

Our fellow Swaback Partners  even "partnered" up with us to 

help us with our preparation. 

Please go clean out your closets, basements and garages 

and bring in your donations starting this Friday, December 17th!

2010 Fall Market

So I had the pleasure of attending this year's Fall Market @ the Arizona Design Center. This experience was refreshing as I was able to soak a wealth of knowledge from some incredibly talented and dynamic interior designers such as...

 Roger Thomas,

a world renown hospitality interior designer  

for the Wynn and Encore hotels, 

shared about his work on the interiors of the Wynn Las Vegas & Wynn Macao as well the background stories of his travels, installations and findings along the way. 

  

He even took the time out to take a shot with me on his famous Kensington sofa over at Alexander-Sinclair. 

Barry Dixon,

a highly respected high-end residential interior designer,

shared not only just his work but articulated the importance of preserving and respecting the history each of the rooms that he designed. Barry has also just come out with his new book, "Barry Dixon Interiors" which had many of the images that he showed us during his presentation.  

Both of these gentleman shared so much through their work and experiences and it was such a pleasure to meet and learn from them both.  

In addition...

Luxe Magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Pamela Jaccarino shared in a panel alongside with interior designer David Michael Miller & Dana Lyon from Palm Design Group about how to get published in a major magazine. Studio V has had the honor of getting published in Luxe, thus it was also encouraging to hear and see the work of other colleagues in the valley as well as just learn more about what is going on in the design community.

Martis Camp: Interior Design

As winter is slowly approaching for those of here at Studio V, we've been keeping ourselves busy by working on yet another Martis Camp cabin in Truckee, CA. Though we have yet to enjoy cooler weather, we've been able to embrace and incorporate the great outdoors in our interior design of various cabins at MC. Here's a glimpse of some of our completed interiors including our custom rocking chair created in collaboration with Swaback Partners.

With only a week, Studio V teamed up to help design a buyer's lounge for 2010 Phoenix Runway show. One of the many sponsors was Susan G. Komen for the Cure and it was an honor to be able to have this opportunity to share our resources and team up with local vendors to pull this room together.
